Not satisfied? Return the product in its original packaging within 7 days of delivery for a full refund.

1. Pre-Order Cancellation

BoxTales devices are currently available via pre-order. We understand that plans change, and we want you to feel confident about your purchase.

  • You may cancel your pre-order at any time before the order ships and receive a full refund of the amount paid.
  • To cancel, email us at hello@boxtales.in with your order number and registered email address.
  • Cancellation requests are processed within 3-5 business days.
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method within 7-10 business days after processing, depending on your bank or payment provider.

2. Returns After Delivery

If you receive your BoxTales device and are not satisfied, you may return it under the following conditions:

  • Returns must be initiated within 7 days of delivery.
  • The product must be in its original packaging, with all included accessories (story cards/figurines, charging cable, guides) intact.
  • The device must be in good working condition — normal use during the 7-day period is expected and acceptable.
  • To initiate a return, email us at hello@boxtales.in with your order number and reason for return.
  • We will provide a return shipping label or arrange a pickup at no additional cost.

3. Refund Process

  • Once we receive and inspect the returned product (typically within 3 business days of receipt), we will process your refund.
  • Refunds are credited to the original payment method.
  • Please allow 7-10 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your bank or payment provider.
  • You will receive an email confirmation once your refund has been processed.

4. Damaged or Defective Products

If your BoxTales device arrives damaged or has a manufacturing defect:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damage and your order number.
  • We will arrange a free replacement or a full refund at your choice.
  • For defects discovered after the 7-day return window but within the 1-year warranty period, please refer to our warranty terms in the Terms of Service.

5. Non-Refundable Items

  • Individual story cards and figurine packs (once opened) are non-refundable unless defective.
  • Digital content purchased or downloaded through the Cultural Archive App is non-refundable.
  • Promotional or bonus items received as part of early backer rewards must be returned along with the main product for a full refund.

6. Exchanges

Want to swap your BoxTales Kids for a BoxTales Roots (or vice versa)? Contact us within the 7-day return window and we will arrange an exchange, subject to product availability. Any price difference will be charged or refunded accordingly.

7. Your Consumer Rights

This refund policy does not affect your statutory rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, or any other applicable Indian consumer protection laws. If you believe your consumer rights have not been met, you may escalate your complaint to the appropriate consumer forum.
